Craig Cooper is a Managing Director at Saban Capital Group and leads the firm's investment practice in the areas of digital media, consumer Internet and mobile as well as being actively involved in the digital media strategies of group portfolio companies. He was previously a Venture Partner at VantagePoint Venture Partners and a founding Partner in the SoftBank Capital Technology Fund where he led that firm's West Coast Digital Media and Wireless Practice.

Prior to joining SoftBank, Mr. Cooper was the co-founder of Boost Mobile USA, a wireless joint venture with Nextel Communications. Boost was one of the first Mobile Virtual Network Operator's (MVNO's) to develop a successful business model based on branded wireless services and content. Boost was sold to Nextel in August 2003.

Mr. Cooper was formerly a private equities advisor for the Bank of Singapore in Sydney and a Senior Associate at one of Australia's largest national law firms where he acted for clients such as United Airlines, The Disney Corporation and DHL International (where he was External General Counsel). In 1994, he founded the independent energy company NRG Asia - Pacific that became one of the largest independent power producers in Australia with over AUD5.5 billion in assets. Mr. Cooper was also a founding principal of Private Energy Partners, which developed, managed and owned coal and gas fired energy projects in Australia and Indonesia. He was the CEO and founder of E-world Technologies Limited, Australia's largest PDA retail and enterprise software company, and was previously a Partner in the largest independent mobile retail distribution company in Australia.

Mr. Cooper is currently a Director of Pure Video Networks (GrindTV.com/StupidVideos.com), Next New Networks and Youmail and an Observer on the board of Thumbplay. He was also most recently a director of Nellymoser, V-Enable, Amptech Design and EBT Mobile (China) Ltd (EBT.L). He was also an Observer on the Board of Directors of InsiderPages, until it was acquired by CitySearch in 2007.

Mr. Cooper has a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) from the University of Sydney.
